PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body joined by brazing, capable of reducing abrasion of an opposite member such as a cam without decreasing a joining strength of a ceramic member. SOLUTION: This joined body is a tappet 1 obtained by joining a ceramic member 3 for forming a sliding surface 3a of a cam to a metal member 2 by braising and regulated so that the center line average height Ra of brazing joined faces 2a and 3b between the metal member 2 and the ceramic member 3 may be 0.2-1.6μm, and that Ra of the surface 3a sliding on the cam, of the ceramic member 3 may be <=0.05μm. Because only the sliding surface 3a on the cam is finished with high accuracy, the joining strength is not decreased and the abrasion of the cam is prevented.
