PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the performance of selection of magnet-attracted components from magnet-unattracted components by a method in which the magnet-attracted components in materials are separation-discharged by the magnetic force of a magnet from an opening while being attracted, while the magnet-unattracted components are discharged by a fluid current in a fluid conveyer. SOLUTION: An opening 5 is formed in a part of the conduit 4a of a fluid conveyer 4 which transfers materials having different magnetic properties by fluid, a part of a rotary drum 6 having a magnet 10 is set in the opening is arranged in the opening 5, and the drum 6 is rotated in the same direction with that of the fluid in the conveyer 4 or in the reverse direction. By the rotation of the drum 6, magnet attracted components in the materials are separation-discharged by the magnetic force of the magnet 10 from the opening through a discharge opening 7 while being attracted. Magnet-unattracted components are discharged by a fluid flow in the conveyer 4 toward a discharge opening 3a. |
