PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce the subject new derivative, comprising a specific amine derivative containing an aromatic ring, having inhibiting actions on the amyloid β protein production and secretion and useful for the prophylaxis, therapy or the like of nervous degeneration disease such as Alzheimer disease or senile dementia, neuronal disorders or the like. SOLUTION: This new amine derivative (salt) is represented by formula I [Ar is a (substituted)ring-aggregated aromatic group or a (substituted)condensed aromatic group; X is a direct bond, S, SO, SO2 , oxo, a (substituted) 1-6C alkylene or the like; Y is a (substituted) 1-6C bivalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group which may be intermediated with O or S; R<1> and R<2> are each H or a (substituted) lower alkyl or each of R<1> and R<2> together with the adjacent nitrogen atom forms a (substituted)nitrogen- containing heterocyclic ring; A-ring is represented by the formula X-Ar or a (substituted)benzene ring; B-ring is represented by the formula Y-NR<1> R<1> , a (substituted)4- to 8-membered ring or the liked, has inhibiting actions on the amyloid βprotein production and secretion and is useful as a prophylactic and therapeutic agent or the like for Alzheimer disease. The amine derivative is produced by carrying out an aminating reaction or the like of a compound (salt) represented by formula II (L is an eliminable group) or the like.
