SMELL-REDUCING WOUND BANDAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency and visual appeal by incorporating adsorptive porous polymer particles with a surface area of a specified m<2> /g. SOLUTION: Polymer particles with an inner surface area of at least 500 m<2> /g are incorporated. The inner surface area is pref. approximately 750 m<2> /g, more pref. approximately 1,000 m<2> /g. These polymer particles include polystyrene and crosslinked polystyrene is more pref. E.g. approximately 1.5 g highly porous crosslinked polystyrene particles are placed between spun-bonded nonwoven nylon web sheets and ends of the nylon web sheets are heat-bonded to form a small bag or a tea bag. In addition, it is used as a bandage for wound contg. other adsorbing body and bandage layer for wound. It is possible to use efficiently it to a cut emitting bad smell by this constitution.
