<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an NO2 absorbent which shows a high absorptive activity to a low concentration of NO2 and can be easily regenerated by a heated air. SOLUTION: This NO2 absorbent is of such a structure that manganese as an essential component is borne by a carrier made of an inorganic porous oxide and further, at least, one type selected from magnesium, yttrium and aluminum is borne by the carrier. The carrier may be of such a type that it is retained by an incombustible fiber preform. The inorganic porous oxide is a mixture of one kind or two kinds or more selected from the group, consisting of alumina, zeolite, silica, alumina, titania and zirconia.</p> |
