PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire to restrain occurrence of heel and toe abrasion from the initial stage of abrasion through the last stage without lowering steering stability (dry passage, wet passage). SOLUTION: This is a pneumatic tire having a block pattern partitioning a block 4 by a plural number of main grooves 2 extending in the tire peripheral direction and a plurality of auxiliary grooves 3 extending in the tire cross direction crossing with these main grooves 2 on a tread surface 1 constituted of tread rubber of JIS A hardness of 40-75, and a rubber layer 5 JIS A hardness of which is larger than the aforementioned tread rubber by more than 5% is arranged on at least one groove wall surface of the both groove surfaces of at least the auxiliary grooves 3 on a shoulder part 10 so as to cover in thickness of 15-50 % of groove depth of the auxiliary grooves 3 and an area of more than 50% of groove depth of the auxiliary grooves 3. |
