PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the performance of a writing utensil and realize the low material cost of diaphragm by a method wherein the elastic deformation of a diaphragm member is realized by pushing a pen point with a predetermined weak force. SOLUTION: In an applicator main body 4, which has a liquid storage chamber 2a filled with a liquid such as an ink or the like, of this applicator, a slide holder 10, in which a pen point 7 is held, and a slide plug are respectively and slidably provided to the longitudinal direction of the applicator main body 4. In the slide holder 10, a liquid flow passage communicating the liquid storage chamber 2a with the pen point 7 side is formed. In addition, the slide holder 10 is fitted to a diaphragm member 20 so as to block the liquid flow passage. The diaphragm member 20 is provided elastically deformably to the longitudinal direction of the applicator main body 4 by the pressing force of the pen point 7 so as to allow to change the posture from a blocking posture for blocking the liquid flow passage to an opened posture for opening the liquid flow passage. In this case, in the diaphragm member 20, an elastic force adjusting means for obtaining a desired elastic force is provided. |
