<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert a steering torque into a mechanical displacement amount by rotatably providing a pair of electrodes of a comparison switch which displaces according to the output from an input torque detector, making brushes displace according to the output from a proportional solenoid, and forming it so that these electrodes and brushes are compared directly to each other. SOLUTION: This comparison switch 50 is structured so that it compares the amount of displacement according to an output from a steering torque detector with the amount of displacement according to an output from a proportional solenoid which detects an additional torque of an assist motor for controlling a control range. In the comparison switch, a displacement lever which rotates according to a steering direction and a steering torque is installed at the center of a casing 51 having a stopper 61 on its peripheral side. Also a pair of electrodes 70 and 80 which are provided with arc-shaped contacts 73 and 83 and one side surface of which is pressed against the stopper 61 are installed rotatably. Then, during steering, the electrode 70 or 80 is rotated through a driving lever 59 in the direction opposite to the stopper 61 so as to detect whether the current carrying condition through a brush 89, i.e., an assist torque is appropriate or not.</p> |
