PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily regulate softness of the tip part according to selection of the type of an adhesive by forming a tip or a part of it with the adhesive in the tip part of a balloon catheter. SOLUTION: An internal tube 4 is overlapped to a balloon 5 coaxially while being protruded slightly from the balloon 5, and an adhesive 2 is applied so that it is extended forward from the balloon 5 beyond the internal tube 4 so as to be formed into a tip 1. An adhesive with low hardness after hardening, such as a polyurethane two pack type adhesive having a durometer hardness (JIS-K 7215) of A 70-90 is used as the adhesive 2. For this kind of adhesive, a cyanoacrylate adhesive, an epoxy adhesive, a urethane adhesive, an acryl adhesive and the like are available. The tip 1, which is made of the adhesive 2, may be projectingly formed into the form of an extension of the balloon 5 or the internal tube 4 alone. |
