PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a medical wire in a wound ring condition by providing a means gripping a wire part of the medical wire in a torque device which is used for applying rotational force to the medical wire. SOLUTION: This torque device, which is formed of resin material such as polyacetal, is constructed of a cylindrical chuck 11, through which a wire is passed, and a fastening cap (chuck turner) 12. When the fastening cap 12 is turned for transmitting rotational torque to the wire passed inside, the wire is fastened. In this case, a slit 15 for gripping a plurality of wire parts arranged in the direction perpendicular to the rotation axis is formed in the rear end part of the chuck 11. The slit 15 is provided with a rectangular cross section, however, a slit provided with a triangular/trapezoidal cross section may be used. In this way, a wire W, which is varied in the outside diameter, can be held. |
