摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to produce the subject compound useful in various resin fields at a low cost in a high yield in the presence of a small amount of a catalyst by feeding a main raw material into a reactor containing a specific catalyst and mixed gases therein and reacting the raw material in the presence of the catalyst controlled within a specific catalyst concentration range in the reaction solution. SOLUTION: This method for producing a tricyclodecane dicarbaldehyde comprises charging (C) dicyclopentadiene into a reactor containing (A) a catalyst comprising (A1 ) a rhodium compound and (A2 ) a phosphite having an electronic parameter &psi; of 2080-2090 cm<-1> and a steric parameter &gamma; of 135-190 degree and (B) mixed gases comprising hydrogen gas and carbon monoxide gas therein, and hydroformylating the component C, while controlling the concentration of the component A1 to 0.01-0.08 mg atom/L as the rhodium metal. The reaction is preferably carried out at a temperature of 40-160 deg.C at a pressure of 10-150 atm.
