PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the concentricity between both surfaces of an optical element with high accuracy and stability when the material of optical element is molded by a pair of molding dies in a tubular sleeve. SOLUTION: The molding method of an optical element, in which the material 3 of the optical element is molded by a pair of molding dies 1, 2 in a tubular sleeve 4, is constituted of a process wherein the pair of molding dies 1, 2 and the material 3 of optical element are assembled integrally to obtain an assembled member A, another process wherein the sleeve 4 is heated to provide a temperature difference between the sleeve 4 and the assembled member A and the other process wherein the assembled member A is inserted into the heated sleeve 4. |
