PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a normal braking force even in the failure state of an engine trouble by actuating a pump based on the command of an electronic controller when each of a signal indicating the specified value or higher of a car speed, a signal detecting the abnormality of a brake booster function and a signal indicating the pressing of a brake pedal. SOLUTION: When a failure occurs to an engine, an accumulator or the like, this state is inputted as an L terminal signal or a brake booster failure signal to an electronic controller(ECU), and when the ON-signal of a brake switch is inputted, the motor M of a pump 9 for a failure is driven and simultaneously a shut valve 10 is closed. At this time, the opening/closing operations of the motor M and the shut valve 10 are monitored in the electronic controller so as to prevent the overheating of the motor M and the shut valve 10 caused by an error operation, and this control is temporarily suspended at a time-up. Thus, a braking force not different from that at normal time is secured. |
