PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new nucleic acid fragment for a probe, primer, etc., for detection of the subject pathogenic bacteria, comprising a specific amino acid sequence and base sequence with a detectability of Xanthomonas campestris pathogenic against gramineous plants. SOLUTION: This new nucleic acid fragment comprises the base sequence of the formula, or a base sequence obtained by subjecting one or more bases to deficiency, substitution, or addition treatment in the above base sequence and provided with a detectability of Xanthomonas campestris pathogenic against gramineous plants, and is useful for a probe, primer, etc., capable of detecting effectively and rapidly a Xanthomonas campestris pathogenic against gramineous plants. This nucleic fragment is obtained by erasing the chromosome of a Xanthomonas campestris pv. poa MB218 strain (NRR-B-18078) by SalI and cloning it conventionally. |
