摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove, by decomposing into nitrogen and oxygen, directly nitrogen oxides contained in exhaust gas exhausted from a plant and an electric power station and in an exhaust gas of dilute combustion engine of an automobile without using a reducing agent even under an oxidizing atmospheric condition at a high temperature of 800 deg.C. SOLUTION: In the catalyst material, Pd of 0.5 to 1.50 wt.% to a spinel type crystalline composite oxide, and Al by a ratio 0.15 to 1.0 atomic ratio (Pd/Al) of Pd to Al are simultaneously supported with the spinel type crystalline composite oxide containing Mg and Ga as principal metal elements. In this case, oxide catalyst material for removal of nitrogen oxides is brought in contact with the exhaust gas containing nitrogen oxides, and the nitrogen oxides contained in the exhaust gas is removed by being decomposed into nitrogen and oxygen without using a reducing agent.
