<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize the coefficient of restitution in hitting a ball and to improve and stabilize the flying distance of a ball by constructing the face part so that the amount of flexure in the vertical direction is optimized. SOLUTION: A golf club has a hollow head main body 1, a face part 2 fitted to the front of the hollow head main body is constructed in such a manner that the value of 1/E (1/h)<3> is from 0.8 to 16.0 both inclusive, preferably from 1.0 to 5.0 both inclusive, and the golf club has the head where the face part 2 is installed. In the above expression, E is Young's modulus, 1 is the maximum size in the vertical direction of the face part 2, and (h) is the thickness of the face part.</p> |
