PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve welding strength and to obtain a fully reliable element by emitting, from a thin semiconductor layer side, a laser beam with a wavelength absorbable in the layer and welding/joining a semiconductor holding member to a metallic member. SOLUTION: A semiconductor holding member 101 is a member for mechanically supporting a thin semiconductor layer 103, in the case of a thin solar cell such as amolphous silicon, and is also used as an electrode depending on the situation. The semiconductor holding member 101 requires a heat resistance that withstands heating temperature in the film formation of the thin semiconductor layer 103, and desirably excels in electrical conductivity. A laser beam 104 is used for the purpose of welding the semiconductor holding member 101 to a metallic member 102, and is usable according to a desire so long as it has an oscillation wavelength absorbable in the thin semiconductor 103 formed on its holding member 101. |
