A retaining element (1) serves for mounting façade plates, in particular glass plates (2, 3), on the bearing structure (5) of a building. Each retaining element has a securing flange (19) and a connecting element (4). The connecting element (4) has a shaft (13) mounted at both ends on a ball-and-socket joint (6, 7) and adjustable in the three directions in space. The outer ball-and-socket joint (6) is designed such that the components of the counter-bearing (10) can be pre-assembled on the glass plates (2, 3) and protect the bores in the retaining element from damages. The shaft (13) can be pre-assembled by means of the inner ball-and-socket joint (7) in the casing (20) of the connecting element (4). The two ball-and-socket joints (6, 7) make it possible to support and position the glass plates (2, 3) in an optimum manner and prevent the occurrence of damaging forces. |
