The device has a conveyor (1), and a deviation conveyor (5) which conveys the containers (4) to a second travel section (3) of the first conveyor. This causes the containers to pass through a zone where the containers travel in a suspended condition. The containers are rotated about themselves through an angle. This rotation angle depends on the inclination, the length, and the shape of the deviation conveyor with respect to the direction of the first section (2).
