FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: invention describes process for preparing 7-trialkylsilyl-baccatin III of general formula I: <EMI ID=0.621 HE=39 WI=60 TI=CHI> wherein R is C<SB>1-4</SB> alkyl optionally substituted by phenyl. The process comprise treating 10-deacetyl-baccatin III of formula II: <EMI ID=0.622 HE=39 WI=66 TI=CHI> with silylating agent of formula III wherein Hal is Si(R)<SB>3</SB> used in 1.5-2.5 moles per mole of original compound at 0-15 C and subsequently treating intermediate 7- trialkylsilyl-10-deacetyl-baccatin III with acetic anhydride. Silylation and acetylation without recovery of intermediate product make it possible to obtain high yield of product I. EFFECT: more efficient preparation process. 8 cl, 1 ex |
