FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy, namely manufacture of rods, tubes and shapes of magnesium alloys. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of pressing out through extrusion die alloy having temperature between solidus and liquid in extrusion chamber. Semifinished products feature close fine grain structure without defects typical for castings and extruded blanks and mechanical properties respective to extruded blanks. Method may be realized for aluminium and zinc alloys. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, enlarged using range.
