FIELD: oil filtration in internal combustion engine, hydraulic equipment and automatic gear-boxes for optimization of oil filter ability to neutralize sulfur acidification and oxidation. SUBSTANCE: oil filter 10 uses thermoplastic material, having additives preventing oil oxidation and acidification, placed in housing 11 between filter medium 19 in the form of particles and felt gasket 21. Thermoplastic material represents mainly high-molecular polyperfluoro- propylene in the form of granules, having the shape of a rice grain, or threads in the form of noodles. In the mixture of thermoplastic material with additives the latter make up about 10 to 17 percent by mass, and when thermoplastic material is dissolved under the effect of oil, having a temperature exceeding the ambient one, additives get released and separated into oil. Granules or threads of thermoplastic material are produced by mixing the antioxidation and antiacidification additives with liquid thermoplastic material for production of a mixture. Then, the mixture is extruded into threads in the form of noodles, about 1.6 to 3.2 mm thick, they are cooled down, threads are cut into separate elements and placed in the space of the oil filter, in such a place, where they will be in contact with oil for gradual dissolution so as to release additives.
