FIELD: furniture device for using at home, in office or reading rooms. SUBSTANCE: device has pole, slide mounted on pole, U-shaped fitting connected to slider and provided with book holding frame made in the form of carriage movable in horizontal plane. Pole has rollers. Illuminating unit is positioned on pole. When device is supposed for usage by two readers, it may be equipped with second slide having fitting and frame, or single slide may be used for both fittings. Device allows reading in sitting and lying position, with body being kept in position maintaining natural bending of spine.
