FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, equipment used for harvesting plant roots from deep layers. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has frame 1 mounted on carrier wheels 2, digging share 5, vertical disk cutters 3,4, driven root lifting tool 7 and separator 8. Root lifting tool 7 mounted on frame 1 behind digging share 5 has housing 20 with radial tusks 21. Separator 8 is formed as hollow truncated cone with axis of rotation inclined to horizontal plane and is positioned behind root lifting tool 7 so as to embrace lifting tool 7 with its large end. Disk cutters 3,4 are mounted forward of tines 9,10 of digging share 5. EFFECT: increased efficiency, wider operational capabilities and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 cl, 3 dwg
