The photocopier includes a simple masking flat profile masking frame to mask the edges of a document and prevent black edges in the copy. The masking frame has two or more flat strips whose relative position is easily adjusted to provide a scanning aperture to match the document size. The mask edges can be linked or the masking can be achieved with pull out roller shutters.
