Each work table (7a,7b) supports at least one of the flat bodies (2) and is movable forwards and backwards in the horizontal direction (4) in order to move the flat bodies likewise forwards and backwards in the same direction. At least one first machining head (15) is provided, movable in relation to the frame (3) vertically to the given direction. At least one second machining head (16) is provided, which serves for edge machining of the flat bodies, being supported by the work tables. It moves over the work tables relatively to the frame and parallel to the first head in order to machine the edges of the flat bodies.
