The B-column's stiffening plate (11,12) is located perpendicularly to the inner or outer wall, and to form flat contact areas (15) is bent several times around a transverse axis. The contact areas lie upon the front (6) and/or rear column wall (7) and are welded there. A second stiffening plate is similarly bent, whereby the first stiffening plate is welded to the front wall of the column and the second plate is welded to the rear wall. The two stiffening plates have contact areas where they reciprocally touch and where they are welded to each other.
