Modular cross-flow filter for preparation of aqueous samples for analysis

In the preparation of aqueous samples containing particulate matter for testing, the fluid passes through a modular cross-flow filter with a supplementary suction shaft unit. The fluid is continually filtered and freed from particles. The fluid particle content is measured at the filter outlet. If the particle content exceeds a given threshold, fluid is redirected to a second clean filter while the first filter is regenerated. The filter assembly recognises indications of filter pore blockage and then automatically initiates the regeneration process.
