A transverse conveying screw for a mowing or maize-harvesting attachment having a central tube (2) and screw threads (3, 3', 4, 4') which end at a distance from one another is configured in such a manner that the screw threads (3, 3', 4, 4') merge, at their inner end (5, 6), in end discs (7) which are arranged perpendicular to the screw axis (1) and have approximately the outer diameter of the screw threads (3, 3', 4, 4'). They serve to prevent the harvested material from fanning and thus permit an uninterrupted flow of material into a longitudinal conveyor connected downstream. <IMAGE> |
