摘要 In a process to synthesize methanol at low temperature and pressure, the reaction heat is drawn from a heat-pipe heat exchanger, which cools the catalytic reactor in the reactor chamber. In a process to synthesize methanol at low temperature and pressure using a gas containing CO, CO2, H2O and H2, the reaction heat is drawn from a heat-pipe heat exchanger. The heat pipe is located within a bulk pile of catalyst material in the reactor vessel within a preheater. The heat pipe elements in the reactor vessel and preheater vessel are formed by a single unit of ribbed pipes. The condensation section is in the preheat section and the evaporator section in the reaction vessel holding the catalytic agent. The heat pipe elements have ribs on both sides of the vessel (3 and 9). A temperature regulator chamber is located between the preheat section and the reaction section.
