Process for loading compressible load onto a truck loading unit

In a process to load compressible products into e.g. a truck, the product is first positioned within a press and compressed, to reduce its volume. The compressed products e.g. rolls of fiber insulation are then transferred immediately from the press to a vehicle loading unit which maintains the load in its compressed state. The vehicle loading unit is then positioned in the vehicle and withdrawn, leaving the load in situ in an essentially compressed state.
