<p>The present invention is related to a method of treating a material web in a paper or paper-board machine, in which method the moving web (1) is treated with a gas (2), particularly with steam. At least one supplementary treatment agent (3) is dosed into the stream of said gas and effected to travel along with said gas toward said material web.
