<p>This invention relates to isolated nucleic acid fragments encoding all or a substantial portion of genes that encode proteins important in effecting fungal pathogenicity in rice blast. The pathogenicity genes may be expressed as chimeric genes linked to suitable regulatory elements and are useful in the development of screens to identify inhibitors of the gene products.</p> |
