The invention relates to a sealing assembly for an automobile door in which a movable window pane (12) can be guided inside a window frame and can descend into a provided window channel. At least one sealing element (14, 20) attached to the door is provided for sealing the window pane (12). In order to provide for easy assembly and sure mounting of the sealing element (14, 20) on a door with a door cast frame (10), at least one sealing element (14, 20) is mounted on a fastening frame (13). Said fastening frame (13) can be fixed to the door cast frame (10). The sealing elements (14, 20) can be pre-assembled on the fastening frame (13), and the resulting pre-assembled constructed unit can be mounted on the door cast frame (10) thus requiring less time for assembly.
