A granular PTFE powder having a low electric charge even after drying, and a process for producing the same, which comprises bringing a polar organic compound having an antistatic property in a substantially dry state into contact with a granular powder of a polytetrafluoroethylene, and drying the mixture while leaving the organic compound in the granular powder.
