<p>A vibrator device system (300) includes a vibrator device (1) having fluid substance within a housing to produce a shock wave. The shock wave is generated by, for example, producing cavitating spaces in the fluid substance that collapse at supersonic velocities. Vibratory forces in the form of shock waves are applied to a body (302) for any purpose such as to determine qualities, characteristics, conditions, and for examination, inspection, material characterization, and imaging of internal and external features of the body. A temporal control device (2) controls, for example, the frequency or any predetermined pattern of shock wave generation, and a spatial control device (6) controls, for example, the location of the produced shock wave. Vibratory forces propagating in the body (302) may be received, transduced, and analyzed by an analysis device (5). Analyzed information, temporal and spatial control information, and transduced information signals may be recorded by a recording device (4) and displayed by a display device (3).</p> |
