The invention concerns an electrically rechargeable air-zinc generator comprising at least one air cathode (J) associated with a solid polymer electrolyte (D) whereof the ionic conduction is ensured by OH<-> ions, at least an auxiliary positive electrode (G) for recharging the generator, and at least a zinc electrode (Q) separated from the auxiliary positive electrode by a membrane (H) constituting a filter with respect to the zincate ions and avoiding the progression of the metallic zinc of the negative zinc electrode towards the auxiliary positive electrode when the generator is being recharged.
