<p>A safe stepping tool for a manhole or the like, comprising a tread (5 or 23) and side portions (6 or 24) disposed on both sides of the tread, wherein at least a top surface of the tread comprises a horizontal portion (11) extending from a central portion (S) toward the side portions or downwardly inclined portions (27) extending from the central portion toward the side portions, and inclined portions (12 or 28) inclined upwardly at one to five degrees from respective ends of the horizontal portion or the downwardly inclined portions, so that when using the stepping tool for ascending or descending, a user can set the feet on the tread in a more natural manner to enable the user to ascend or descend in a more stable condition with less fatigue at feet and knees.</p> |
