A vibration transporter (1-11) has a vibrating support for a workpiece and with a counter mass to balance the vibrations. The support and the counter mass are each rigidly linked to an armature, with the two armatures driven in opposing directions by the solenoid drives. The solenoid drives have a common line of action which runs through the center of gravity of the two systems. The two armatures can be located on opposite ends of a special magnet with combined windings. The two masses are mounted on a common base plate via separate spring supports.
