The hand gear shift assembly comprises a lever (3) with a ball housing (6) at the lower end. This fits on the ball head (7) of a ball-ended spindle fixed in the gear shift housing (1). At least one sideways protruding lever arm (9.1) is formed in one piece on the lever and connects to a transmission component. A bearing shell (12) with limited elasticity is fitted between the ball head and ball housing.
