PURPOSE:To provide a spindle motor with a small thickness and large torque, by inserting part of coil in an opening in a support board. CONSTITUTION:A spindle motor 100 includes a rotor 5 and a stator core 1. The stator core 1 is fixed on a support board 4, and a coil 2 is formed around the stator core 1. The lower part of the coil 2 is inserted into the corresponding opening part 13 in a printed board 3. Since the coil 2 is inserted in the opening 13, the stator core 1 is put more downward than a conventional method. Then, the thickness of the spindle motor 100 is made smaller than a conventional one. |
