In coloring hair, samples of natural hair colors are generated and are assembled on a principal chart (12). Samples of desirable hair colors are generated as target color samples in the coloring of hair, and are assembled on secondary charts (34, 37). Coloring agents and developers necessary for realizing the target colors are provided. A compendium (36) of chapters representing natural hair colors divided into sections (65, 66) representing target colors, is comprised, and each chapter is indexed in terms of corresponding natural hair color, and each section is indexed in terms of a corresponding target color. All coloring agents and all developers are listed in each section (65, 66, Tables V-VIII) in terms of quantity, concentration and development time on hair as necessary for realizing in a coloring process the target color indexed in that section. |
