PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce flicker at the time of noninterlaced/interlaced signal conversion by storing data in line buffers so that addresses correspond to one another and reading two data in two-address correspondence out independently. SOLUTION: In a period I, noninterlaced input signal 1st-line data are written to a line buffer unit 35 in synchronism with an input-side horizontal synchronizing signal. In a period II, noninterlaced input signal 2nd-line data are inputted in synchronism with an input-side horizontal synchronizing signal and a computing element averages the 2nd line data and the 1st-line data written to the unit 35 and writes the value to the unit 35 with the input-side horizontal synchronizing signal synchronism. Then the data which are averaged and written to the unit 35 are outputted between periods II and III in synchronism with the output-side horizontal synchronizing signal obtained by halving the frequency of the input-side horizontal synchronizing signal. Consequently, a flicker reduction part 2 performs a noninterlaced/interlaced signal conversion process and a flicker reducing process. |
