PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the maximum value of a multi-carrier signal by detecting the maximum value of a multi-carrier signal for each symbol, and uniformly suppressing the corresponding multi-carrier signal for each symbol according to the size while a place except the maximum amplitude place is included. SOLUTION: The output of a multi-carrier signal generating part 10 is inputted to an each symbol maximum value detecting part 20, and the maximum value of a multi-carrier signal being the output of the multi-carrier signal generating part 10 is detected for each symbol. An each symbol maximum value suppressing part 30 outputs a multi-carrier signal u(t) whose maximum value is suppressed for each symbol based on the maximum value information detected by the each symbol maximum value detecting part 20. The output u(t) is obtained by an expression: u(t)=A×(s(t)/|Adet|). In this expression, A is the maximum amplitude normal value, Adet is the detected maximum amplitude, and s(t) is the output of the multi-carrier signal generating part 10. Thus, the multi-carrier signal can be uniformly suppressed for each symbol, and any distortion can not be generated in output waveform.
