PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit higher speed in light transfer of a light emitting diode, by improving not only responsiveness at on-driving of the light emitting diode, but that at off-driving. SOLUTION: A drive circuit comprises a switching circuit B11, connected to a light emitting diode D11, for on/off controlling a drive current supplied to a light emitting diode D11 with a pulse signal of specified frequency inputted, and a voltage-driving type peaking current generating circuit B14 connected to the light emitting diode D11, the drive current is transiently increased in synchronism with on-driving time of the switching circuit B11 with the drive signal inputted, while it is transiently decreased in synchronism with off driving time of the switching circuit B11. |
