PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the reading procedure of the status of a printer engine from a controller. SOLUTION: A controller reads a condition change status from an engine (a step 1102), and when it indicates the state change, the controller reads the changed status (step 1103-1109). The engine sets all the condition change status regardless of the presence or absence of the state change at the time of operating an initializing procedure such a s power supply in addition to the case that the state is changed. The controller simply operates a procedure for requesting the status in a normal way, and captures the status even at the time of initialization. |
