摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a temperature of a brake friction member with high precision by an equation which determine the work that wheel brake performs in a unit time based on a speed of a wheel on which brake is applied and brake force. SOLUTION: First, a wheel speed Vw is read (S1), and decelerationαx of a vehicle is estimated based on it (S2). Next, when ABS is not operating (S3), whether traction control based on brake force (BTCS) is being done or not is judged (S4). When it is judged that BTCS is not done, that is, when brake is applied ordinarily, it is determined that P=K1×αx (K1 is a proportional constant) based on the fact that brake force P is proportional to the decelerationαx of the vehicle (S5). A temperature Tn of a brake friction member at this time is estimated based on a temperature Tn-1 of the brake friction member at the previous time, heat generation coefficient KU, and heat radiation coefficient KD according to an equation, Tn =(Tn-1 +KU.P.Vw ).KD (S6).
