PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for coaxial cable for use in a high frequency transmission path, which can avoid such problems as leakage of electric power, interference of stray electric waves, circuit breaking resulting from the manner of handling (over current generation in a shortcircuited condition), and a malfunction originating from impedance change. SOLUTION: The sheath 4 of a coaxial cable is stripped off to expose part of outside conductors 5, and only the exposed portion is inserted into the body 2 of a coaxial cable connector 1, and a terminal pin of a terminating member 20 is embodied as a jack type terminal pin 23A, and the terminating member 20 is equipped with a hood 24 enclosing the terminal pin 23A. Separately from the terminating member 20 a connecting adapter 31 is provided which is equipped with a standard plug type terminal pin 28 exposed to serve for connection with the appliance concerned 27 and with another hood 30 which is fitted on the first named hood 24 in such a way as surrounding the periphery of the pin part 29 to be fitted to the jack type terminal pin 23A of the terminating member 20, and the connecting adapter 31 is previously attached to the appliance 27.
