<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming device which obviates the generation of interference fringes by providing this device with a latent image forming means for forming a latent image by irradiating a recording material with incoherent light. SOLUTION: An exposure unit 46 is constituted by having a light source for casting the incoherent light 1, for example, an LED array 50, optical parts, such as lenses, and a recording controller 52. The LED array 50 is constituted by arraying plural LED elements 51 to a matrix form in the transverse direction of the recording material A. The light emitted by the LED elements 51 is the incoherent light L and has the nature of the lower coherence than a laser beam. The array intervals and number of the LED elements 51 are obviously set to meet the width of the recording material A of the max. size usable for the image forming device and a desired image density. The light beams emitted from the respective LED elements 51 are made incident on the prescribed recording position X on the surface of the recording material A by the optical parts, such as lenses.</p> |
