PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold an elastic tube securely between hold-pressing rollers at normal position at the start of hold-pressing of the elastic tube by the hold- pressing rollers. SOLUTION: The ratio (ϕ2 /ϕ1 ) of the inner diameterϕ2 to the outer diameterϕ1 of an elastic tube 24 is set at 0.56 to 0.72, and the wall thicknessηof the elastic tube 24 is set at 23 to 35 mm. The elastic tube comprises a rubber tube main body 40 and reinforcement layers 41 to 44 buried in the main body. At the stage when a hold-pressing roller starts to hold-press the elastic tube 24, the elastic tube 24 is led between both hold-pressing rollers and moved easily to a normal hold-pressing condition, whereby a local damage to the elastic tube due to stress concentration is prevented.
